Reg Grundy Timeline

The founding father of television formats, Reg Grundy, put Aussie television on the map. Getting his start in radio in the 1940’s, Reg’s career spanned over six decades and encompassed entertainment and game shows such as SALE OF THE CENTURY and THE PRICE IS RIGHT; dramas including NEIGHBOURS and PRISONER; documentaries and feature film. A pioneer of the worldwide industry, Reg received many honours including the AACTA Raymond Longford Award, the Emmy’s Founders’ Award, the Monte-Carlo Television Festival’s prestigious Golden Nymph Award, the TV Week Hall of Fame Logie, as well as being appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) and a Companion of the Order of Australia.
