NORTHERN VOICES short film festival comes to Queensland

Join AACTA as we present our highly popular short-film festival Northern Voices, for the first time in Queensland, and direct from its premiere at Vivid Sydney.

Our programming team have curated a collection of some of the newest and most thought-provoking animated & live action short films made by our northern neighbours, including work by established Asian filmmakers – including Oscar, BAFTA and Sundance nominees – as well as student work from esteemed institutions such as the China Academy of Art and Tokyo University of the Arts. 

More than 15 micro-short films will be shown, made by Chinese, Japanese, Malaysian, Syrian, Hong Kong and South Korean filmmakers. All are under ten minutes long and most have never been seen in Queensland before. 

Delve into the hearts and minds of our northern neighbours and see the world through their eyes at this very memorable evening.
