AACTA Pitch: Uncovered Final

Join AACTA and SAE as we celebrate the next generation of documentarians at the AACTA Pitch: Uncovered Showcase and Networking Event.

AACTA Pitch: Uncovered in partnership with SAE is a short documentary film initiative exclusively for SAE students. Tying in with SAE's film discipline coursework, this is another exciting step for AACTA to engage the next generation of filmmakers, to help consolidate their learning and to connect them with industry peers to help fast track career growth.

After 2 fantastic masterclasses with Amiel Courtin-Wilson and Ivan O’Mahoney, SAE students from all campuses submitted their short documentary films for consideration.2 finalists from each campus have been selected and they will now have the opportunity to meet with our judges who will provide guidance for their final edit. We can’t wait to show them to you on Tuesday 6th June at Palace Central Cinemas, Broadway.

Audiences will be treated to a networking hour prior to the event from 5pm where they speak to industry professionals, including AACTA Pitch: Uncovered judges Malinda Wink, Stephen Oliver, Virginia Whitwell and Karina Holden. We will then screen all 12 finalist films and discuss each with our judges, before ultimately naming the recipient of this exciting initiative.
