The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) is excited to announce that the 2024 AACTA Awards presented by Foxtel Group will be held on Saturday February 10, with the AACTA Industry Awards to be held on Thursday February 8, at HOTA, Home of the Arts on Queensland's stunning Gold Coast. This will be the Sunshine State’s first time hosting the prestigious Awards and as the date approaches the Gold Coast is gearing up for a spectacular showcase dedicated to celebrating the creative forces and talents behind Australia's eminent screen productions.

The decision to bring the AACTA Awards to the Gold Coast underscores the city's growing reputation as a hub for creative excellence and filmmaking in Australia.  With its picturesque landscapes and vibrant culture, the Gold Coast provides an idyllic backdrop to unite the Australian screen industry and shine a light on the nation’s best productions and practitioners. The AACTA Awards will be broadcast nationally on 10 and 10 Play and encored on Fox Docos on Foxtel. It will also be available to stream on demand via Foxtel, BINGE and AACTA TV.

Beyond the Awards, AACTA is set to roll out an array of exclusive events on the Gold Coast. The events will cater to diverse audiences, from industry veterans and budding screen creatives to ardent fans of both mainstream and niche screen mediums, as well as families. The festival, spanning from Thursday February 8 to Sunday February 11, will be a celebration of film, TV, streaming, music, and digital content.

Among the festival highlights is a day devoted exclusively to First Nations content and creatives, networking hubs to connect with key industry, as well as a Screen Careers Expo, specifically tailored for those curious about pursuing a career in film or television.

Whether you are a film enthusiast, a budding creative, or a dedicated industry professional, these inclusive programming initiatives will offer a unique opportunity to network, learn, and immerse in the business and creative learnings of the Australian film and television industries.
