FOXTEL TO PREMIERE INSIDE THE AACTA STUDIO SPECIAL AHEAD OF 2021 AACTA AWARDS

Miranda Otto, Pamela Rabe, Richard Roxburgh and Scott Ryan to feature in new interview special produced by FOXTEL

Foxtel and AACTA today announced a new streamed entertainment special, Inside the AACTA Studio, premiering on Saturday, December 4 at 8:30pm on FOXTEL, as a major lead-in program to the 2021 AACTA Awards.

Hosted by Bernard Curry, actor, writer and cast member of 2021 AACTA nominated drama Wentworth, (Audience Choice, Favourite Australian TV Drama of the Decade, Wentworth), the one-hour special provides a candid and intimate discussion with the outstanding Best Lead Actor and Actress nominees in a Drama for the year.

The unique, insightful and entertaining interviews see nominees for the 2021 AACTA Award for Best Lead Actress in a Drama including: Anna Torv (The Newsreader), Mandy McElhinney (Wakefield), Miranda Otto (Fires) and Pamela Rabe (Wentworth), and nominees for the 2021 AACTA Award for Best Lead Actor in a Drama: Rudi Dharmalingam (Wakefield), Richard Roxburgh (Fires), Sam Reid (The Newsreader) and Scott Ryan (Mr Inbetween) reflect upon their performances and the making of these acclaimed drama series’.

With nominees joining from various corners of the country and globe, Inside the AACTA Studio, explores the diverse range of Australian stories gracing our screens, the importance of storytelling and why these stories have resonated with audiences.

Over the course of the conversation, the stars share their personal experiences; from learnings and insights, to the best advice they’ve received and the light-hearted but often unexpected audition experiences.

Inside the AACTA Studio premieres on Saturday, December 4 at 8:30pm AEDT, available to watch On Demand and on FOX ARENA.

The 2021 AACTA Awards Ceremony presented by Foxtel Group will take place on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at the iconic Sydney Opera House and will be broadcast at 7.30pm on Channel Ten and available on FOX ARENA on Foxtel, BINGE, and AACTA TV from Saturday, December 11.
