AACTA Audience Choice Nominees Announced

AACTA ANNOUNCES THE FINAL NOMINEES FOR THIS YEAR’S AUDIENCE CHOICE AWARDS

 

The Australian Academy has revealed the top six finalists for the 2022 AACTA Audience Choice Awards. The winners will be announced at the 2022 AACTA Awards Ceremony, presented by Foxtel Group, this Wednesday 7 December at The Hordern in Sydney’s iconic Entertainment Quarter, in addition to the peer-voted awards.

Now in its third year, theAudience Choice Awards allows the viewing public the opportunity to decide for their favourite actors, films, TV shows and digital creators from the past year.

The general public voted to determine six nominees in eight categories including Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Film, Best TV Series, Best TV Personality, Best Sport Commentary Team, Best Sports Program, and Best Digital Creator.

 The nominees are:

  • Heartbreak High
  • Home and Away
  • Married at First Sight

 

AACTA Audience Choice Award for Best Actor

  • Bryn Chapman (Heartbreak High)
  • Chris Hemsworth (Thor: Love and Thunder)

AFI AACTA CEO Damian Trewhella said: “I wish to extend my congratulations to the 2022 AACTA Audience Choice Award nominees. To be selected by the Australian public as the best in your field shows the influence and impact that you have on your viewers.”

Wednesday’s ceremony will be broadcast on 10, at 7.30pm, and will be encored on Fox Docos, Saturday, December 10 at 7:30pm. The broadcast will also be available to stream on demand via Foxtel, Binge and AACTA TV.
