Official Australian Preview - MORTAL KOMBAT II, Gold Coast

We’re pleased to invite you to a stellar red-carpet evening for the Official Australian Preview of MORTAL KOMBAT II. Shot on the Gold Coast, this latest instalment in the franchise sees Australian director Simon McQuoid return following the success of 2021’s MORTAL KOMBAT.

In the latest screen adaptation of the video game franchise, the champions of Earthrealm, now joined by Johnny Cage (Karl Urban), are forced into battle against one another as they fight to resist the rule of Shao Kahn (Martyn Ford), whose rise threatens the survival of Earthrealm and its defenders.

The cast includes Karl Urban, Ludi Lin, Jessica McNamee, Joe Taslim, Hiroyuki Sanada, Adeline Rudolph, Tati Gabrielle, Josh Lawson, Martyn Ford, Tadanobu Asano and CJ Bloomfield. Directed by Simon McQuoid, from a screenplay by Jeremy Slater, based on the video game created by Ed Boon and John Tobias. The film is produced by Toby Emmerich, Todd Garner, Simon McQuoid, E. Bennett Walsh and James Wan.
