Visual Effects or Animation entries for the 2022 AACTA Awards are now open.
AACTA Award for Best Visual Effects or Animation
Entries Open: Wednesday 27th April
Entries Close: Friday 9th September, 11:59pm AEST
Viewing and Voting Period: TBA
In the case of a short film, the the production must have been must have been completed between August 8th 2021 and June 13th 2022.
In the case of a documentary, the production must have been completed between August 26th 2021 and August 31st 2022.
In the case of a feature film, the production must have been released theatrically in Australia for the first time between November 25th 2021 and November 23rd 2022.
In the case of a television production, the first episode must have been broadcast in Australia for the first time between November 1st 2021 and September 16th 2022.

If the production has been submitted for another award category (e.g. Feature Film or Television), and meets that categories membership requirement, then no additional memberships are needed.
If just the VFX elements are being submitted to the AACTA Awards and there is no corresponding production entry, a minimum of two candidates on the entry must be AACTA members.
