Samsung AACTA Awards Ceremony – Broadcast on the Nine Network

AACTA’s inaugural Awards season will culminate with the spectacular Samsung AACTA Awards Ceremony at the Sydney Opera House on 31 January 2012.

The glamorous Ceremony will be broadcast around Australia on the Nine Network and will recognise excellence across film and television, including Awards for Best Film, Best Television Drama Series, Best Direction, Best Lead Actor and Best Lead Actress.

AACTA President Geoffrey Rush and a host of internationally acclaimed Australian actors including Cate Blanchett, Mia Wasikowska, Jonathan and Anthony LaPaglia, Jacki Weaver and Rachael Taylor will take to the Concert Hall stage at the Sydney Opera House, to honour the best achievements in Australian film and television.

The show also offers to excite on the entertainment front, with performances by Olivia Newton John and Megan Washington, amongst others.
